Human Rights Tour Headed to Sonoma State University
Human Rights Awareness Tour at Sonoma State University
The Human Rights Awareness Tour aka "The HRAT" is headed to Sonoma State University March 1st and 2nd to host an exciting series of events that includes a Sweasthop Free Fashion Show, a Fair Trade Coffee Night, a workshop series, a speaker series, and a film.
The tour is being brought to campus by ASP and JUMP. The tour stop is scheduled to feature former Mayor of Salt Lake City and founder of High Road for Human Rights Rocky Anderson, the Sundance featured film "Black Gold" showcasing the nuts and bolts of the coffee industry, a Giant Universal Declaration of Human Rights display available for students and the general public to sign, two workshops - the General Activism Workshop and the Go Sweatshop Free Workshop, the Sweatshop Free Fashion Show featuring an assortment of sweatshop free and upcycled clothing worn by student models, the Fair Trade Coffee Night featuring acoustic music-poetry readings-along with presentations by Starbucks and Transfair (Fair Trade Certfication Organization)- and educational mc'ing by tour founder John Corkery.

Monday March 1st-
10am-4pm Universal Declaration of Human Rights Display available for signing - Student Union
Noon-1pm General Activism Workshop - Student Union
5pm-8pm Rocky Anderson Speech and presentation on Genocide - Student Union
8pm-10pm Fair Trade Coffee Night - Student Union
Tuesday March 2nd-
10am-4pm Universal Declaration of Human Rights Display available for signing - Student Union
Noon-1pm Go Sweatshop Free Workshop - Student Union
5pm-8pm Black Gold Film Screening - Student Union
8pm-10pm Sweatshop Free Fashion Show - Cooperage
Human Rights are for all peoples of all walks of life. Come join the Human Rights Tour, JUMP, and ASP in their efforts to kickstart the Northern California Human Rights Movement at Sonoma State University though fun, positive, and educational events accesible to all.
