The following is a list of artists whose work will be featured on the Human Rights Tour Art Exhibit

On Tour Artist- Gerry Swanson - Is a multi medium artist who has revolutionized the tour through his two giant sculptures one is an 18 foot human skeleton carved out of wood whcih he asked students to braid muscles out of yarn and as we tour the country and attach more muscles this sculpture signifies the growth and strengthening of the Human Rights Movement. The other is a 10 foot tall abstract statue of liberty carved out of huge pieces of styrofoam. At every tour stop Gerry is also working on his Live Art Exhibit the Skeleton Scroll. See photos below:

Sara Rahbar Bio PicSara Rahbar- www.myspace.com/sararahbar - Is an Iranian-American human rights artist that addresses her personal, cultural, and political in her flags, paintings, journals and photographs. Sara Rahbar was Born in Tehran Iran in 1976, but left Iran with her family during the revolution in the beginning of the Iran Iraq war. Rahbar went on to study Fine Art in Sara Rahbar FlagLondon and Design in New York. Her work has been shown in various galleries and museums all over America including the Queens Museum of Art in their Biennial show, where Rahbar was chosen out of 52 artists to become a teaching artist, and to do a second piece for the Biennial. Sara has been a teaching artist for various programs such as; Woman for Afghan Woman. She has alsonbeen an art director for the Persian Arts Festival and a film Photographer and Production Coordinator for Nobody’s Enemy, as well as other films made in Iran. Rahbar has also been a freelance photographer in Iran for several years . Her work has been reviewed and praised in a multitude of prominent publications all over the world such as; The New York Times, BBC Persian, Time Out New York, Tehran Magazine, Namak, Radio Farda, Venuszine, Iranian, Persian Mirror, Queens Chronicle, Queens International 2006 Everything All at Once Vol 3 Oct 2006, PS1 MoMA: Emergency Room, Abort Magazine, Shrug magazine, Payvand, Faka magazine, Yo Dona, and Oziran.

Leslie Helpert ArtLeslie Helpert- Aside from accoustic performance and modeling, Leslie will also be a live artist on tour. With her black Chartpak marker combined with other inks and stamps this artist will be offering improv drawings of the performers and speakers involved with the tour. Her art features ink renderings of the human body, movement, form, expression, and energy. All of her work is created using recycled ink and paper.

Chase Sperry- Is a graffiti artist with a passion for Human Rights he has been involved with several volunteer and grassroots programs. Chase became a graffiti artist to make a change in the world. In Salt Lake City Chase made a big wave with his work in project 337, he has also been featured in the Three Aye Dee Gallery, and several other areas around Utah.

Lenore McDonough- Lenore is a Human Rights advocate and Live etch-a-sketch artist from Salt Lake City, Utah. This piece of hers was inspired by the film Invisible Children. Lenore will be traveling on tour performing live Etch a Sketch artwork on a projector screen during the Art Exhibit.
